knit texture

there are a couple of things here that appeal to me:
#1 the color gray
#2 the amazing knit texture

i stumbled upon this while on elle.com. this actually kind of reminds me of a felted shibori technique, where bits get tied into the knitting to create a resist. when the felting is finished, these bits leave a nice texture that has not felted.
