paris fashion week

alexander mcqueen's spring 2008 collection was a tribute to the late isabella blow, the woman who discovered him, famously propelled his career from a student rack to a couture house, and faithfully wore his clothes --and philip treacy's hats-- in their most extreme manifestations.

although mcqueen is one of my absolute favorites, this collection wasn't. (i tend to like his fall collections more, for whatever reason. . . ) i can appreciate the painstakingly detailed work that goes into these creations, but the total looks themselves just didn't do much for me. i found the detail shots of the collection to be quite interesting though. . .
