..............view larger to see the exquisite details

my favorite is the dress draped from a single piece of fabric
which i've always wanted to do
& the cocoon-like sweater
i have made 1 & i love wearing it --kind of like an oversized shrug

*ok, i love style.com for their fashion show coverage
.........but, is it really necessary to call a trend 'depression chic' ?!
.........does this bother anyone else ?

I don't like their depression chic trend roundup either. It's just a bunch of random outfits put together that they think can 'weather the economy.' Ugh.

katlin,
it's not the outfits that bother me, it's the title...
apparently the people who work at style.com haven't been affected by job loss, slow web shop sales, etc., or they wouldn't have used such a phrase as a title to one of their trends. i just find it really offensive!

right! is it supposed to be funny? its disturbing. is it supposed to be disturbing?
i had to go see what you mean. i guess they mean the time period, but hello! its *language*. there are endless possibilities for phrasing.

Could I just have the coat please? With the boots. Please.

And the oversized shrug is a great concept :)

i'm with alison - i want that gorgeous coat. and boots.
[do we think the high neck is part of the coat or another layer?]

and seriously LOVING that shrug concept...

...yes, loving everything myself!

i was thinking the high neck was a separate knitwear piece...but, not sure.
