i love that giles deacon opened his show
with 1 of my favorite models from the 80's, rachel williams

besides her gorgeous grey jersey dress,
i also found the gauntlets to be appealing
& his continued use of XL yarn in some of the knit pieces
. . .even the fly-fishing print


now that the NY shows are over
these were recurring themes i saw amongst the collections :
. fur cowls
. knit cowls
. leather
. leggings --sometimes leather leggings
. black & more black --which i'm noticing in London as well
. the use/mix of texture(s)
. shiny vs. matte
