christian siriano spring 2009

i was thrilled to see that my favorite designer from project runway
showed for the first time this season
he is so talented & i am looking forward to following his career. . .

&
for you PR fans who were sad to see terri stevens go this week,
i am excited to say you can get a little piece of her here

. . .inspired by the drag queen challenge
.....which she should've won, by the way !

helmut lang spring 2009

even though mr. lang is no longer the designer
i'm still attracted to the line, now designed by husband & wife team:
michael & nicole colovos

of my favorites, i'm loving the 1-piece jumpsuits. . .
try not to let the dead-in-the-eyes-mannequin-like look of the model distract you !

calvin klein spring 2009

although some critics thought this collection "didn't hit the mark"
i loved it !
the draping & the creasing created silhouettes that look fresh & new
. . .& quite wearable, in my opinion

ps: did you see the shoes ?!

i'm loving this debut RTW collection from ms. kroell
especially dress #1
well known for her accessories, she said she "needed a new challenge". . .

zero + maria cornejo spring 2009

once again we see hard vs. soft, masculine vs. feminine, chaos vs. control. . .
"all the things I believe in"
. . .in maria cornejo's collection celebrating her 10th anniversary

she has definitely become one of my favorites
her silhouettes & color palette continue to attract me. . .

hanii Y spring 2009

inspiration: summer nights in denmark. . .
a blurring between light & dark, reality & dreams, masculine & feminine

i am really drawn to the designs/designers who play
with this hard vs. soft contrast. . .
